Polarquest2021-Save the White

Polarquest2021 ‘Save the White’ will carry out valuable scientific investigation and communicate about the global change in progress in the Arctic.
One objective will be to obtain a detailed map of the seafloor in a region that is still poorly mapped (north of Svalbard), including an area where in 1918 the Italia airship crashed with the North Pole expedition of Umberto Nobile.
NORBIT multibeam is a compact and integrated instrument perfect for collecting data from a sailing boat and in difficult environmental conditions. By means of NORBIT technology it will also be possible to find pockmarks and leaking gases visible in the water column data to measure dissolved methane and CO2 concentrations that are important greenhouse gases.
Today the NORBIT Sonar arrived and mobilization can start.
