Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Compliance

NORBIT products subject to WEEE regulations are marked with the “crossed-out wheeled bin” symbol, indicating they must not be discarded with regular household waste. If you are an end user, we recommend contacting your service provider (the business that supplied you with the product) for guidance on return and recycling options. In most European countries, electrical waste can also be returned to public waste collection facilities or designated waste return points for electronic waste. Many NORBIT products are built with components such as PCBs (printed circuit boards), batteries, and plastic enclosures. PCBs may contain small amounts of critical raw materials, which electronic waste facilities are equipped to handle. These materials can often be recovered and reused, supporting sustainability and resource conservation.

In the EU, NORBIT collaborates with our B2B customers to fulfill Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations in line with Member State regulations. Specific responsibilities are determined by contractual agreements with our partners. In Norway, our production unit NORBIT EMS AS, partners with RENAS, a compliance scheme dedicated to the safe collection and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
