High-resolution and reliable performance
NORBIT multibeam sonar systems are engineered for high-resolution hydrographic, bathymetric and nautical charting. Each system integrates GNSS and IMU technology to ensure precise positioning and reliable performance for both surface vessels and uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs) operating in demanding offshore environments. Their lightweight, modular, and robust design allows for flexible configurations. Systems can be hull-mounted on dedicated offshore survey vessels with a detached IMU and 19” rack-mountable topside or deployed in a compact setup using the NORBIT iSIU and PORTUS Pole.
They can also operate in headless mode on offshore and inshore USV platforms, controlled through NORBIT DCT Autopilot.
Long range surveys
NORBIT also offer Long Range multibeam sonar systems. These versatile multibeam mapping systems feature a single-cable design and rapid setup, which reduces mobilisation time and operational costs. These systems provide high-resolution data and wide swath coverage across varying depths, making it suitable for deployment on vessels of all sizes - from large offshore survey ships to small USVs and ASVs. Integrated INS tools within the NORBIT software further streamline configuration, improving efficiency and overall usability.
