NORBIT welcomes Kate Morgan as our new Technical Delivery Manager

Kate joins NORBIT Subsea from Sulmara, where she served as Global Data Manager, leading international data management strategy and ensuring high-quality geophysical deliverables across complex offshore operations. Prior to that, she spent more than a decade at TerraSond, advancing from boat-based Survey Technician to General Manager. There, she successfully built and led multidisciplinary teams, oversaw large-scale offshore geophysical data production, and ensured projects were delivered to specification, on schedule, and to the highest standards of safety and NOAA/USACE survey standards.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Geomatics from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in both Alaska and Washington State, as well as a Certified Hydrographer. Her technical expertise spans surveying, GPS, GIS, geomatics, remote sensing, LiDAR, spatial analysis, and data management, and she is the new chair of The Hydrographic Society of America, West Coast Chapter.

In her new role as Technical Delivery Manager, Kate will work across the NORBIT Oceans Subsea segment to ensure the “We Deliver” core value is executed with precision, quality, and efficiency. Her strategic leadership and deep understanding of hydrographic operations make her an asset in supporting NORBIT’s dynamic growth and success as a global organisation.
