GNSS On-Board Units for efficient distance-based tolling
The GNSS On-Board Units (OBU) uses satellite-based positioning data for accurate measurement of distance travelled, accommodating distance-based charging for heavy goods vehicles, a technology which has been adopted by several European countries for collecting tolling fees under the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) directive, contributing to efficient toll collection with a single device across borders within Europe.
