Located fifty miles north of Chicago, Illinois Beach State Park is the last remaining undeveloped Lake Michigan shoreline in Illinois. However, the park’s entire shoreline was facing a threat as portions were eroding at a rate of over 100 feet per year, with some areas losing more than 10 feet in a single day during storms.
To address the need for high-speed construction while maintaining survey accuracy, the project opted for NORBIT multibeam technology. This choice aimed to provide high-resolution data and accelerate the progress of the project.
