Seafloor Exploration Training Course, Palermo, Italy, July 10-21

Hydrographic Geologic Informatics Survey Solutions (hGISs) responded to the need for more qualified marine mapping professionals by creating the Seafloor Exploration Training Course™ (SETC) and delivering it to professionals and students around the world.

The SETC is an 80-hours course that combines focused and intensive theoretical classes with hands-on practical sessions in the laboratory and on research vessels.
By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of the basic theoretical concepts and operational foundation of seafloor mapping, which will prepare them for both commercial and academic assignments. They will be exposed to many different types of marine survey hardware and software and will receive personalized training in techniques relevant to their survey aims.
SETC is supported by GBT offshore, HGS and University of Palermo (Italy), University of Malta, Oceanographic Institute of the University of São Paulo (Brazil) and  Italian National Interuniversity Consortium for Marine Sciences (CoNISMa) and sponsor by NORBIT, QPS, and TRITON.

SETC Palermo Registration Fee (Students) $ 700.00

SETC Palermo Full Registration Fee (Professionals) $ 1,500.00
