NORBIT is structured in three business segments to address its key markets: The Oceans segment delivers tailored technology solutions to global maritime markets. The Connectivity segment providing wireless solutions for identification, monitoring and tracking. The PIR segment offers R&D services, proprietary products, and contract manufacturing to key customers.
The Financial Controller plays a key role in the finance department of NORBIT ASA. In the position you will work closely with the finance team on monthly and quarterly reporting and participate in a wide range of activities across the business segments. The group is implementing Tagetik as consolidation system and the Financial Controller will play an important role in the use of the platform.

Main tasks and duties
- Prepare external reports to Oslo Stock Exchange and related internal reporting to corporate management and board. Monthly close activities, group reconciliations and consolidation.
- Strengthen ongoing work related to internal control and compliance, including improving internal processes and routines.
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes, including deviation analysis.
- Support the group’s treasury management activities.
- Participate in processes related to optimizations of working capital across the group, including relevant reporting and follow-up of KPIs.
- Contribute with analysis of financial data to internal stakeholders and ad-hoc work.
- Participate in various projects across the group to support our growth strategy.
Qualifications
- Education: MSc or MBA in finance
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience from similar position or from an advisory and auditing firm
- Strong understanding of accounting, IFRS and financial reporting
- Experience with Tagetik or other consolidation systems is beneficial, but not a prerequisite.
- Analytical skills and IT/system competence related to financial reporting.
- Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English are a prerequisite.
