Analog Electronics Engineer – R&D

NORBIT Subsea designs and develops wideband multibeam sonars for hydrographic applications, forward-looking applications as well as advanced subsea leakage detection. Our solutions are based on the latest in analogue and digital signal processing and our products provide wide coverage monitoring combined with high sensitivity and accuracy. Subsea is part of the segment Oceans in NORBIT ASA.

For our Research and Development team in Trondheim, Norway we are seeking an Analog Electronics Engineer.

Work duties:

  • Design, document and test analog electronic designs for our portfolio of Subsea products
    • Troubleshooting, prototyping, and testing/debugging
  • Participate in new product development projects
  • Mentor/guide/support less experienced engineers when necessary.
  • Support the Project Lead in our projects and prepare to take on future project lead responsibilities.

About you:

  • You have extensive experience designing precision, low-noise analog signal conditioning circuits within mixed-signal PCB designs
  • Expertise designing with op-amps, BJTs, MOSFETs, diodes, transformers, and other common analog circuits
  • Simulation of analog designs using tools such as LTSpice, Keysight ADS, Python.
  • You are familiar with designing electronics with Altium CAD tool
  • Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary design environment
  • Hands-on approach to product development with strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience with subsea platforms is not a requirement
