NORBIT recently welcomed another great group of marine survey enthusiast for the annual NORBIT Seahorse Multibeam Survey Training in Portland, OR. The mix of participants from government agencies and industry travelled from within USA, Canada and Europe to update their skills to conduct highly accurate, repeatable, and efficient surveys using the latest technologies and techniques.

The 5-day training covered survey fundamentals and execution for a range of topics. This included the use of ultra-high resolution multibeam for bathymetry mapping and parametric sub-bottom profilers for the survey of sub-seafloor structures and buried objects.
