NORBIT Subsea’s Product Director, Sonar Systems, Pawel Pocwiardowski, presented the paper “Oil Leak Detections with a Combined Telescopic Fluorescence Sensor and a Wide Band MultiBeam Sonar” at the IOSC conference in Long Beach, California.
The paper presents the findings of the study funded by the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), U.S. Department of the Interior, Washington, D.C., under Contract E14PC00033.
The program objectives were to develop a combined telescopic fluorescence polarization sensor and a 4D wideband multibeam sonar to deploy as one dual sensor system for detecting and mapping underwater oil leaks and plumes.
